What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor (Marketing-Driven Firm) position at Magellan Financial & Insurance Services, Inc.?
Your production is 2X your peers on your worst day. Your retention rate is 95% . Your clients refer without being asked. Yet you're still fighting for resources, still battling compliance over basic marketing, still watching mediocre advisors get promoted because they play politics better. Still spending well over half your time doing things that are not, or should not, be in your job description.
Stop settling for a firm that treats elite performers like everyone else.
At Asset Preservation Wealth & Tax (“AP Wealth”) (www.APSITaxes.com), we’ve built a tax-integrated, media-forward machine that drives inbound demand across the Pacific Northwest and Southwest. Advisors here don’t cold call, chase friends, or host chicken-dinner seminars—they convert a full pipeline of qualified, marketing-generated appointments into lifelong client relationships.
Why advisors who are already winning make the move to AP Wealth:
- Inbound calendar: Radio, TV, YouTube, podcasts, and live events generate consistent, qualified prospects.
- Tax-integrated planning: Partner with in-house CPAs and tax pros to deliver strategies others can’t match.
- One-firm team: Advisors, tax, and operations collaborate daily—no silos, no bureaucracy.
- Growth path: Transparent compensation with upside that scales ($150k–$500k realistic first-year range, uncapped for top performers).
- Future opportunity: Advisors here don’t hit a ceiling—our best are groomed for leadership and equity opportunities.
What you’ll do:
- Run first, second, and third appointments with firm-generated prospects.
- Deliver comprehensive retirement income, tax, and investment plans.
- Gather and transition assets efficiently.
- Coordinate Roth conversions and tax strategies alongside CPAs.
- Present solutions that may include fee-based AUM portfolios, fixed indexed annuities, and life insurance—always in the client’s best interest.
Who this is for:
- A closer with bedside manner—consultative, empathetic, and decisive.
- A fiduciary-minded planner fluent in retirement income, tax strategy, and portfolio design.
- Someone succeeding today but constrained by self-sourced prospecting—hungry for more at-bats.
- High integrity, client-first, with 3 years of advice experience
- Active Series 65 (or equivalent) Oregon insurance license
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base/bridge variable comp tied to growth; structure tailored to your track record.
- Health, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and CE/licensing reimbursement.
- Admin, tax, and operations team support full tech/planning stack (Orion, MoneyGuidePro/eMoney, etc.).
This is not another advisory job. It’s a platform for ambitious advisors to double their growth trajectory and step into future leadership.
