Job Title: Molder
Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Molder.
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean and smooth molds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.
- Assemble cores into lower sections of molds, to create mold assembly per work instructions.
- Tend machines that bond cope and drag together to form completed molds.
- Operate molding machines and related equipment to produce quality products.
- Inspect cores for defects and report and issues to the supervisor.
- Clean and maintain work area to ensure safe and efficient work environment.
- Work to meet production goals and deadlines
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Use labor tracking system on all daily functions (log in on jobs and log out)
- Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge
- Ability to perform quality checks and inspections on molds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical dexterity to detail and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced
- Knowledge in reading and interpreting work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
