Magee Plastics Company, a premier manufacturer of thermoplastics and composites for the airline, rail, and other industries, is currently hiring for a Hand Sander position. This position is responsible for completing body work and finishing repairs on various manufactured components
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Remove imperfections and smooth given components
- Use sanders and other tools effectively
- Work with several different types of materials.
- Detect and correct imperfections
- Work with various types of adhesives (epoxy, glue, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail.
- Promptness and reliability.
- Ability to read, write legibly, speak and understand English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Capable of performing basic data entry.
- Ability to read and follow procedures.
- Skill at hand work and associated machinery.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
- Possess acceptable vision (with corrective lenses, as appropriate).
- Basic knowledge of measurement units and tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
