Responsibilities
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and detailed cleaning of floors throughout the shop or facility to maintain a spotless environment.
- Conduct carpet cleaning and spot removal to uphold cleanliness standards in all areas.
- Operate buffing machines to restore shine and finish on various flooring surfaces.
- Assist with janitorial duties such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and cleaning restrooms and common areas.
- Support environmental services by ensuring proper disposal of waste and adherence to safety protocols.
- Help with general shop assistance including organizing workspaces, moving supplies, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
- Follow safety guidelines during all cleaning procedures to promote a safe working environment for everyone.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and general sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Experience with environmental services or commercial cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
