What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Tech position at MAGEE GENERAL HOSPITAL?
Position Summary:
- Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. Vacuums and spot cleans carpets. Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment, and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility room and bathrooms. Cleans fixtures, equipment, windows, walls, rest rooms, etc. Stocks supplies in rest rooms as needed. Remove solid linens, trash, bio-hazard from collection areas. Notifies supervisor regarding needed repairs: submits supply order sheets on a weekly basis. Gathers and disposes trash and waste materials. Assist and perform Laundry Tech Linen Handler functions as needed. Assist and perform Utility Tech functions as needed. Participates in educational programs and in-services. Attends meetings as required.
Education Requirements:
- High School education is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- One (1) year experience in healthcare and/or housekeeping role preferred.
