Data Warehouse Architect (Teradata)

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-Term Contract / Contract-to-Hire (Based on Client Needs)

Work Schedule: Hybrid (ONSITE REQUIRED Every Wednesday & Thursday)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect with strong Teradata expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise data warehouse solutions while supporting data integration, performance tuning, and operational stability.

This role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data warehouse environments.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience with Teradata.
• Strong experience in Data Warehouse Architecture, Design, and Support.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience working in complex enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration tools.
• Knowledge of batch scheduling and workload automation tools.
• Experience implementing and supporting Data Warehouse Security controls.
• Understanding of performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, data, and application issues.
• Analyze data workflows and recommend architecture improvements.
• Support ETL processes and data integration activities.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, workload management, and query tuning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data management standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams.
• Monitor and maintain batch processing schedules and data warehouse operations.

Interview Process

• In-Person Interview Required in Lansing, MI.
• Candidates must be able to attend the interview onsite.

Location & Work Requirement (Non-Negotiable)

• Hybrid schedule is mandatory with onsite attendance every Wednesday and Thursday from Day 1.
• Candidates must already reside in the Lansing, MI area or relocate at their own expense before the start date.
• No exceptions for remote work.
• Candidates relocating must complete relocation before joining and be available for the required onsite interview and work schedule from the outset.
