Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule shipment transportation, ensuring timely delivery and efficient routing.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage fleet operations.
- Input and maintain accurate data in logistics software,
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status.
- Monitor fleet performance and address any issues that arise during transit.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement within dispatch operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within logistics or transportation management.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and fleet management software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in GIS tools is a plus but not required.
