Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting, mulching, and hardscape setup
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine
- Operate ground maintenance equipment like power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to support proper care and landscape design
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers responsibly following safety protocols to promote healthy plant growth
- Maintain grounds by performing routine inspections, cleaning up debris, and ensuring equipment is well-maintained
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment operation is a plus
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, lawn care, tree care, and gardening practices is advantageous
- Understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with irrigation systems and hardscape features will support success in this role
