Position Summary
MAG currently has an opening for a Cybersecurity Engineer III to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission. In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services with operational support located in Carleston SC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
- Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
(U) Experience:
- Ten (10) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
(U) Education:
- Education: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent; and depending on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M
(U) Specific Requirements:
- (Role: NAO Liaison / PSO Support) Fifteen (15) years of experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity N6523624R3041 - FINAL Page 67 of 135 policies, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. Five (5) years of supporting Navy organization as an NAO Liaison to validate IT/OT systems, evaluate RMF packages, consult Echelon III Package Submitting Officer (PSO), preparing command priorities for submission to NAO Team, managing MFR and HRE processes, developing and uploading artifacts to eMASS, and providing NAO guidance. Experience includes leading and mentoring validators and RMF experts with processing A&A and implementing RMF for IT and OT systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- (Role: Cybersecurity Engineer) IAM Level III certification. Five (5) years of experience with engineering, testing, and leading teams on Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) for DoD. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- Decision making, communication, collaboration and writing skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Outlook (Word, Email, Spreadsheets, Schedules, PowerPoint).

- Must be a US citizen
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance level

The projected compensation range for this position is $86250 to $143750 (annualized USD).
