Construction Bookkeeper
The Construction Bookkeeper will maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support billing, payroll, and month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense coding.
- Prepare customer invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Record expenses by job and maintain accurate project cost records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
- Process or coordinate payroll and maintain supporting records.
- Track subcontractor documentation, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.
- Support month-end close and coordinate with the company’s accountant or CPA.
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping experience within construction or a contractor business.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting software.
- Experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll, and job costing.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
