About the Role We are Maersk, and we are seeking an Area Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – East to lead HSE strategy, performance, and risk management across one of the largest operational regions in North America. Supporting approximately 100 facilities across the Eastern United States and Canada, you will lead a team of HSE professionals focused on creating safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across warehousing, transportation, air, and logistics services. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines operational leadership, stakeholder influence, coaching, and strategic execution. You will be responsible for driving HSE excellence across a complex and highly matrixed organization, partnering with business leaders to ensure health, safety, environmental, and risk management priorities are embedded into day-to-day operations. Success in this role requires more than technical HSE expertise. We are looking for a leader who can build trusted relationships, influence without direct authority, navigate competing priorities, and create followership across a broad network of operational and functional stakeholders.
