EH&S Supervisor
Job Overview:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Supervisor role is responsible for developing an EH&S culture, ensuring environmental compliance, and reducing workplace injuries. This position involves working closely with team members to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support to team members and leadership in identifying workplace hazards, incident reporting, and investigation, as well as developing a comprehensive safety program.
- Assist the EH&S Manager in leading EH&S programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate EH&S training for all team members and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Measure progress towards meeting EH&S targets and objectives, and report data in a timely manner.
- Contribute to health screening processes, health education programs, OSHA recordkeeping, hearing conservation processes, and other EH&S initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the lumber industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Access, and Word.
- Understanding of facilitating a successful EH&S program and presenting to team members.
- Proactive and enthusiastic leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
