What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Office Attendant position at Madlife Stage & Studios?
- Handle ticket sales through in-person, phone, and online transactions using the ticketing system.
- Provide accurate information about show schedules, seating, pricing, and venue policies to patrons.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and offer solutions to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Process payments, manage cash transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in seating assignments and ensure compliance with venue seating policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and facilitate smooth show operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the box office area.
- Ensure all tickets and materials are ready and available for upcoming shows. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
- A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service. Ability to use basic tools in Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Eventbrite.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Comfortable working in a busy environment with varying noise levels.
