This position is responsible for coding hospital-owned professional charges with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to campus to allow for occasional in-person attendance.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS/CPT coding systems
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with the ability to interpret complex clinical documentation and chart notes
- Experience with Cerner or other physician EMR systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows environments
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Current certification required: CCS-P (AHIMA), CPC (AAPC), or equivalent
- Foundational knowledge of medical coding or completion of a coding education program
- High school diploma or equivalent
