Hours :
- Monday Friday : 7AM to 3 : 30PM
- Optional shift : 10AM to 6 : 30PM ( $2.50)
Responsibilities :
- Operate forklifts to move material and load trucks
- Utilize proprietary lumber tracking software efficiently
- Communicate effectively with management, carriers, and other departments for timely delivery
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Previous experience operating forklifts of similar size / capability
- Ability to operate diesel forklifts with a maximum capacity of at least 30,000 lb.
- Independently load 10 trucks per day
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs
- Work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Attention to detail and safety-minded
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions :
This positions initial schedule will be 7am-3 : 30pm, Monday through Friday, with a possibility of a night shift schedule of 10am to 6 : 30pm with a $2.
50 per hour night shift differential following the positions training period. The Shipping Department may be required to work overtime during peak seasons.
This position may require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time. It may also require working in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and noise.
