What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treating Operator position at Madison Wood Preservers, Inc.?
Shift Differential: $5.00/hr
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 3:30pm to 2am
Madison Wood is seeking candidates in search of a stable CAREER! We are a very well-known wood treater located in Madison, Virginia with less than 100 employees, we strive to create an atmosphere that promotes growth and opportunity. Madison Wood's Treating department is looking for skilled operators to assist its nightly operations. The responsibilities of this position are as follows.
Position Responsibilities:
- Load and unload lumber onto chains that feed into the treating cylinders.
- Collect samples from lumber after it is treated.
- Receive and maintain RCRA/Hazardous Waste Training and Certification.
- Receive and maintain Pesticide Applicator Certification issued by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
- Test samples and record test results.
- Operate treating controls.
- Assist in cleaning hazardous waste.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Attention to detail and safety minded
- Ability to lift materials that typically weigh up to 50lbs
- Must be able to receive and maintain pesticide applicator certification by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
- Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week

Hiring Process:
