Madison Veterinary Specialists is growing, and we are seeking Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our expanding Ophthalmology team.
Our Ophthalmology team works closely with our board-certified specialists to provide exceptional patient care, client communication, and treatment support. This department combines technical skill, advanced procedures, and meaningful client interactions—perfect for those who enjoy both patient care and client connection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor anesthesia for ophthalmic procedures, including use of a ventilator
- Perform advanced math calculations related to anesthesia and patient care
- Assist with surgical preparation, induction, and recovery
- Set up and maintain the operating room (OR)
- Run outpatient appointments efficiently and independently
- Provide clear and compassionate client education and communication
- Perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement
- Support ophthalmologists with diagnostics and treatments
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required
- Strong anesthesia and monitoring skills
- Confidence with critical thinking and calculations
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and IVC placement
- Passion for high-quality specialty care
