Early Childhood Educator
Position Overview
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate curriculum, positive classroom guidance, and meaningful family communication.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and daily activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and routine.
· Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
· Support children’s social-emotional development using positive guidance and respectful communication.
· Observe and document children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
· Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s daily experiences, needs, and growth.
· Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet classroom and program goals.
· Follow all licensing, health, safety, and program policies and procedures.
· Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working in early childhood education or a licensed childcare setting.
· Current Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) required.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in early childhood education preferred.
· Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate practices.
· Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to meet all background check, health, and training requirements as required by state licensing and program policy.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with curriculum planning, child assessment, or classroom documentation.
· Current CPR and First Aid certification.
· Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
· Experience working with diverse families and children with varying developmental needs.
Work Schedule
Full-time position. Schedule may vary based on program needs.
