Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Registered Nurse is an essential part of our OR team and is responsible for caring for patients of various ages: infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Function as an RN during operative and other invasive procedures. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. South Dakota RN/LPN license and CPR certification is required. Experience is necessary for this position.
The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Will be working with a variety of medical equipment including, but not limited to: defibrillator/cardioversion equipment, suction equipment, IV pumps, chest tubes, feeding pumps, and portable cardiac monitors.
We offer 8-hour shifts with call. As part of a team, we have a day, night, weekend, holiday, and call rotation to balance your home life. You will have a unique opportunity to build your skillset by working in various departments such as medical, surgical, and emergency room areas.
Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria. Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays.
