Certified Financial Planner

Madison Professional Group
Dallas, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 3/31/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/29/2026

Overview

Our client is a fast-growing, independent boutique wealth management firm based in Frisco, Texas, serving entrepreneurs, executives, physicians, and other high-achieving professionals.

The firm operates with a planning-first philosophy, engaging every client through a rigorous financial planning process before implementing investment strategies. This ensures advice is holistic, fiduciary, and deeply personalized.

This opportunity is ideal for a Financial Planner who combines strong technical expertise with emotional intelligence and is motivated to build long-term, trusted client relationships. The right candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

There is a clearly defined path to Senior Financial Advisor within approximately 2–4 years, making this an attractive opportunity for someone focused on long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial plans across investment, retirement, tax, estate, and risk management strategies
  • Perform in-depth cash flow modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluations to support client decisions
  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, collaborating with CPAs, attorneys, and other advisors to ensure coordinated planning
  • Proactively monitor client plans and recommend adjustments based on market conditions, tax law changes, and evolving client goals
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance clients can confidently implement
  • Prepare and present client planning and performance reports (Orion experience a plus)
  • Contribute to internal planning discussions and firm-wide initiatives
  • Maintain strict adherence to fiduciary, regulatory, and ethical standards

Qualifications

  • CFP® certification or actively pursuing CFP® designation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or investment advisory
  • Strong technical expertise across retirement, tax, estate, and insurance planning
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools and software

Preferred:

  • Experience with eMoney, Holistiplan, Wealthbox, and Orion
  • Series 65 (or willingness to obtain)

What Sets This Role Apart

  • Planning-first, fiduciary model—not product-driven
  • High-caliber client base (entrepreneurs, executives, physicians)
  • Clear path to Senior Advisor (2–4 years)
  • Team-based environment with strong collaboration and support
  • Opportunity to deepen technical expertise while building client relationships

Personal Attributes

  • High emotional intelligence with a client-first mindset
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communicator—able to simplify complex financial concepts
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a willingness to contribute beyond core responsibilities
  • Curious, ethical, and committed to continuous professional growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary bonus structure
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Group life and disability insurance
