Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical setting. Registered Nurses will communicate with physicians/nursing administration/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment. Can perform general nursing duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage incoming patients based on urgency.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management
- Participate in emergency response situations, applying critical care skills as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in Emergency/ICU or Acute Care Setting
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency medicine protocols.
- Current BLS/ACLS/PALS
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
- Proficiency in nursing skills and EHR charting and documentation.
