Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat according to specified standards and customer requests
- Ensure all meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment throughout your shift
- Assist customers with their meat selections, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, and provide excellent customer service
- Follow all food handling protocols to prevent contamination and ensure freshness of products
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or quality concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
