What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Associate - Private Equity - Infrastructure (First Time Fund) position at Madison Hunt?
Madison Hunt is partnered with a first-time, diversified infrastructure private equity fund that has already achieved impressive fundraising momentum and executed strategic investments. The fund has raised over $1 billion in record time, closed two investments, and is currently in exclusivity on several additional opportunities. The team is led by industry veterans from top-tier mega-funds, each bringing a proven track record across the infrastructure landscape. Their sector focus spans energy transition, digital infrastructure, and other critical infrastructure sectors.
Our client is looking to add Associates (immediate through Summer 2026 start dates) who are highly technical, entrepreneurial, and a strong cultural fit for their growing team (currently 12 professionals).
Qualifications:
- 1.5–3 years of Investment Banking (M&A) experience (open to 2024 undergrads)
- Relevant sector and deal exposure (digital, transportation, energy/energy transition, renewables, infrastructure, industrials)
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate across responsibilities and the drive to help build and scale a new platform
