Quality Assurance Manager – Pottstown PA
Job Type – Full-time, On-Site
Description:
We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Manager in Pottstown, PA to manage quality systems and supervise quality personnel. Candidate must have a degree in engineering, along with approximately five (5) years of experience in manufacturing and supervising employees. The essentials duties of this position are as follows:
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Review of the following items in a timely manner:
a. Customer Orders
b. Specifications
c. Drawings
d. MTR’s
e. Packing slips
2. Prioritize Response to Customer Inquiries and Concerns
3. Train inspectors to inspect parts to quality standards
4. Train inspectors to inspect parts to customer drawings and/or specifications
5. Calibration of Inspection devices (Calipers, Height Gauges, Micrometers)
6. Review non-conforming reports and recommend corrective actions
7. Supervise Quality Personnel
8. Maintain training records of supervised employees
9. New Employee Orientation of Documented Quality System (DQS)
10. Existing Employee Annual Training and Review of DQS
11. Plan/Conduct Internal Quality Audits
12. Plan/Conduct External Quality Audits (Suppliers/Subcontractors)
13. Maintain, Review, and Update Quality Manual for New and Existing Operations i/a/w MIL-I-45208A (similar to ISO 9001)
14. Schedule and Conduct Management Review Meetings
15. Review, Report and help address Quality issues and concerns on the manufacturing floor
16. Inspect finished parts (if needed)
17. Ensure a clean and organized workspace
18. Perform other duties as required
Physical Demands:
1. Ability to continuously stand for ten hours on the factory floor
2. Ability to repetitively lift up to 25lbs
3. Ability to repetitively pick up parts (ankle level) and place them on inspection table (chest level)
Educational, Training and/or Experience Requirements:
1. Supervising Experience
2. Degree in Engineering
3. Manufacturing Experience
4. Ability to Read the following Measurement Devices:
a. Calipers / Verniers
b. Height Gages
c. Tapes
Salary Description: $85,000-$115,000/annually
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
