Reports to: Superintendent
General Definition of Work: Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities.
Essential Functions:
Instructional Management
- Monitor the implementation of the curriculum through various methods including conducting teacher evaluations
- Monitor instructional and managerial process to ensure the program activities are related to program outcomes and use findings to take corrective action
School or Organization Morale
- Foster collegiality and team building among staff members
- Provide for two-way communication with superintendent, staff, students, parents and community
- Communicate and promote expectations for high-level performance to staff and students
School Improvement
- Build common vision for school improvement with staff. Direct planning activities and put programs in place with staff to ensure attainment of school’s mission
- Identify, analyze and apply research findings to promote school improvements
Personnel Management
- Define expectations for staff performance with regard to instructional strategies, classroom management and communication with the public
- Hire highly qualified staff
Professional Growth
- Demonstrate professional, ethical and responsible behavior
- Serve as a role model for all campus staff
- Provide professional growth opportunities for faculty and staff
School and Community Relations
- Articulate the school’s mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission
Management of the Fiscal and Facilities Functions
- Comply with district policies and state and federal laws and regulations affecting the schools
- Other duties as apparent or assigned
Education and Job Experience:
License/Endorsements: Valid state license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision Prek-12
Contract Period: 12 months
FLSA Status: Exempt
