Duties

• Assess and monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs and conducting thorough physical examinations.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
• Provide support in behavioral health settings, addressing both physical and emotional needs of patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing practices and experience working with the elderly.
• Experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic nursing assessments.
• Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in nursing home environments, providing compassionate care to elderly patients.
• Experience in behavioral health settings, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' mental health needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
