What You’ll Own
Real-Time EMS & SCADA Systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EMS and SCADA environments (production, test, training)
- Ensure accuracy of telemetry, controls, alarms, and operator displays
- Support upgrades, patching, and integration efforts
- Investigate and resolve issues impacting real-time system performance
- Work directly with control room operators to support day-to-day operations
- Participate in on-call rotation supporting critical systems
- Develop, validate, and maintain system models across transmission, distribution, and generation
- Perform telemetry mapping, corrections, and validation
- Ensure alignment across EMS, SCADA, GIS, and related platforms
- Design and maintain SCADA one-lines and operational displays
- Validate system behavior to ensure it reflects real-world conditions
- Support system readiness during storms and high-impact events
- Contribute to EMS upgrades and system integration initiatives
- Support expanding telemetry across DER and emerging technologies
- Work across engineering, IT, and operations to improve system performance
- Operators trust the system during both normal and high-stress conditions
- Telemetry, models, and displays consistently reflect real-world behavior
- Issues are identified and resolved quickly with minimal operational impact
- Systems improve over time through thoughtful ownership and stewardship
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting real-time operational systems
- Hands-on work with EMS, SCADA, preferably GEV eTerra or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills in live environments
- Understanding of telemetry and communications (e.g., DNP3, ICCP)
- Exposure to control room or operations center environments
- Experience with EMS, ADMS, or DMS platforms
- Understanding of power systems or industrial operations
