What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Inspector position at Madison Fire Department?
SALARY RANGE: $59,097-$87,478/year DOE. Full benefits.
40 hours/week (Monday-Friday); schedule as approved by Supervisor
This position is opening as a non-responder/non-firefighter inspector (applicants who are firefighters will also be considered).
A thorough knowledge of inspection procedures is needed, though this can come from a variety of avenues not related to fire inspections; the right applicant will be trained to do fire inspections. Certification as International Code Council Certified Fire Inspector I must be acquired within six months of hire date.
