- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using Eaglesoft , ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care tailored to pediatric patients in a compassionate manner.
- Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient treatments.
- Ability to accurately perform X-ray procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care documentation review.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations; maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
