About the RoleMEI is seeking a People (HR) Generalist Intern to support our growing People team during a dynamic period of company growth. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the core functions that support the employee lifecycle — including recruiting, onboarding, employee experience, talent programs, and People operations. This role is ideal for a student interested in human resources, organizational development, business operations, or people strategy who wants to learn how a modern People function operates inside a scaling company. The intern will work closely with the People team and gain visibility into how we build systems, programs, and processes that support our employees and business leaders. What you'll doThe People Generalist Intern will support a range of initiatives across the employee lifecycle and gain exposure to how a growing organization builds effective People programs and processes. Responsibilities may include: Assist with recruiting coordination and candidate experience, including scheduling interviews and supporting communication with candidatesSupport new hire onboarding activities, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for incoming employeesContribute to People operations projects, including documentation, process improvements, and maintaining internal resources or SOPsAssist with internal communications, including drafting employee updates, program announcements, and People team messagingSupport employee engagement initiatives and company programs such as intern events, training sessions, or team meetingsHelp track and organize People data and metrics, including recruiting and employee lifecycle informationConduct research and benchmarking on HR practices, tools, or policies to support People team initiativesProvide general project support to the People team as we continue building scalable systems and processesResponsibilities and project ownership may vary depending on academic level and prior experience. Interns will work four days per week in-office and one day remotely to maximize in-person collaboration and exposure to the business. The 10-week program runs from June 1 through August 7, 2026. Interns will participate in our all-company offsite on June 24, 2026 as part of their immersive experience. The office will be closed in observance of Juneteenth (June 19, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026).Commitment & Compensation: This is a paid internship. The hourly pay range for this role is $20–$40. Compensation within this range is determined based on factors including academic level (undergraduate vs. graduate), year in program, and relevant experience.
