Role Description The Energy Co Advisor is a full-time or Part-time on-site role based in Hawaii. In this role, the Energy Advisor will assess client facilities to identify energy efficiency opportunities across refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site evaluations, analyzing energy usage, preparing proposals, and presenting tailored solutions that align with client operational and financial objectives. The Energy Advisor will collaborate closely with sales, technical, and project teams to support solution design, implementation, and follow-up performance reviews. The role also involves educating clients on technology benefits, supporting utility and financing programs, and maintaining strong ongoing relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to present technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of the Energy Industry and Energy sectors, with an understanding of efficiency technologies and related market trends.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service capabilities, focusing on relationship building, responsiveness, and client-centered problem solving.
- Candidates should possess Energy Management skills, including experience with energy audits, usage analysis, and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in energy or technical sales.
- Ability to interpret utility data, basic financial metrics (ROI, payback), and project proposals, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort working in commercial and industrial facility environments, with willingness to conduct on-site inspections and field assessments.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, CRM tools) and the ability to learn company-specific platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Previous experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, refrigeration, or related technical sales is beneficial but not required.
