Description
- Provide real-time support to traders and other users on the trading floor for any IT-related issues, including hardware, software, network connectivity, and communication systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems quickly and efficiently, escalating complex issues to relevant teams when necessary.
- Monitor trading systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth operation and proactively address potential problems before they impact users.
- Install, configure, and maintain trading software, desktop systems, monitors, keyboards, and other essential IT equipment
- Log and document incidents and problems, tracking them to resolution, and ensure all incidents are resolved within agreed service levels.
- Work closely with other IT teams, such as network, server, and application support teams, to resolve technical issues efficiently and implement system upgrades.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of desktop support, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and trading applications (Bloomberg, Reuters, FIX protocol, etc.).
- Prior experience in a trade floor support role or a similar high-pressure technical support environment is mandatory.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure and provide rapid solutions to minimize downtime.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with traders and other staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, ensuring no detail is overlooked, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment.
