A well-established U.S. commercial bank in Pasadena is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager with deep experience in loan reporting and regulatory disclosures. This individual will be responsible for preparing SEC filings, driving loan-focused regulatory reporting, and strengthening internal financial controls. Candidates must bring prior exposure to banking loan products and reporting for financial institutions. Big 4 only backgrounds (without in-house banking experience) are not ideal.
Key Responsibilities
πΉ Prepare loan-related disclosures & supporting schedules for 10-Q, 10-K, and MD&A
πΉ Prepare disclosures supporting 8-K earnings release tables
πΉ Complete regulatory reports including Call Reports & FR Y schedules
πΉ Develop schedules for internal reporting (including monthly Board packages)
πΉ Review reporting for accuracy, data quality, and regulatory alignment
πΉ Lead variance/trend analysis and loan data quality control
πΉ Research new accounting rules/regulations and guide compliance strategy
πΉ Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting integrity
πΉ Review financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
πΉ Support audits (internal/external) and assist with footnote preparation
πΉ Handle ad-hoc analysis and reporting projects
Qualifications
β 5β7 years in financial reporting or public accounting (banking required)
β Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial institution reporting
β Experience with loan reporting and regulatory schedules
β Bachelorβs in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred
β Strong analytical, technical research, and problem-solving skills
β Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate across teams
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
