Base Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 Bonus
Overview:
Our client, a globally recognized European banking institution with a strong international transaction banking platform, is looking to add a senior Relationship Manager within its Financial Institutions coverage team. This individual will own and grow a portfolio of bank clients across North America while also overseeing internal affiliate relationships tied to USD clearing. The role combines revenue generation, client strategy, and team leadership, offering strong visibility across global stakeholders and product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of financial institution clients, including both internal affiliates and third-party banks across North America
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth across cash clearing, payments, FX, and trade finance solutions
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on transaction banking capabilities and balance sheet solutions
- Lead business development efforts to onboard new clients and expand wallet share within existing relationships
- Oversee origination and execution of trade finance transactions, coordinating with internal credit, risk, and product teams
- Supervise and mentor junior relationship managers, setting performance objectives and ensuring alignment with broader business strategy
- Partner cross-functionally with product, risk, compliance, and operations teams to deliver seamless client solutions
- Act as a key representative in governance forums, committees, and internal working groups related to correspondent banking and payments
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, including KYC/AML requirements and first line risk management responsibilities
- Monitor client activity, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and identify cross-sell opportunities
- Drive enhancements to client experience by addressing service issues and contributing to process and product improvements
- Maintain regular communication with global stakeholders to track performance against revenue and volume targets
