We are partnering with a New York–based broker-dealer to support their search for an AML Compliance Officer. This hybrid role based in Midtown is key to managing and enhancing the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program while ensuring compliance with the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, FINRA, SEC, and CFTC.
The AML Compliance Officer will monitor trading and fund movements, oversee suspicious activity detection and reporting (SARs/CTRs), lead internal investigations as needed, and serve as a primary point of contact for AML matters. The role also involves conducting risk assessments, updating AML policies, delivering training, coordinating regulatory inquiries and examinations, and using AML monitoring systems to mitigate risks.
This position works closely with internal teams and regulators, providing hands-on support for compliance operations and program enhancements.
Overview:
- Ensure compliance with BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, FINRA, SEC, CFTC, and related regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain the firm’s AML compliance program.
- Monitor trading activity and fund movements; conduct investigations as needed.
- Oversee suspicious activity monitoring and filing of SARs and CTRs.
- Serve as the primary AML escalation point and provide firmwide guidance.
- Liaise with regulators including SEC, FINRA, NFA, FinCEN, and OFAC.
- Perform AML risk assessments and oversee audits, reviews, and regulatory exams.
- Maintain AML policies, procedures, training programs, and surveillance systems.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
