Qualifications:
01. Paraprofessional license; two years of college or the equivalent as defined by state and federal guidelines
02. Mindset Training preferred
03. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
04. Previous experience with special needs students preferred
05. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Goal:
To assist the teacher to achieve teaching objectives by working with one student to help them reach maximum academic achievement and to assist in the development of an organized, effective, efficient learning environment.
Job Duties:
01. Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher
02. Prepare and adapt materials for use in the classroom
03. Maintain classroom and learning materials in good order
04. Communicate behavioral concerns of student(s) to appropriate staff members
05. Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
06. Attend all meetings and in service trainings
07. Display prompt and regular attendance
08. Other duties as assigned by Administrator
