GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Eligibility/Referral Supervisor 2, the Eligibility/ Referral Specialist 2 is responsible for reviewing and responding to income eligibility verification system (IEVS) matches, computer-generated alerts, and other public assistance case information. The primary objective of this role is to determine whether there has been an overpayment or over issuance of benefits and to manage the necessary actions for benefit recovery. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and adherence to regulations to ensure accurate benefit administration and recovery processes.
QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications: Possession of an associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred; six (6) months or more of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
