Madison County Job and Family Services is looking for a Child Support Case Manager/Investigator Supervisor 1 supervises child support case managers, represents agency in child support cases, conducts administrative hearings, and assists with fiscal/financial duties within the unit.
What You’ll Do:
Supervision & Program Coordination
· Supervise and manage assigned staff, including scheduling work, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and recommending hiring or disciplinary actions.
· Conduct staff meetings and communicate updates on policies, procedures, and program changes.
· Coordinate activities within the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA).
· Serve as a liaison with agency leadership, other government agencies, and the public.
· Review case records and monitor genetic testing processes and tracking.
Program Administration & Hearings
· Review and recommend payment of contract invoices from service providers.
· Prepare reports, statistical data, and correspondence related to the Child Support Enforcement program.
· Prepare contracts for the Prosecuting Attorney and Process Server.
· Testify in Juvenile and Common Pleas Court as needed.
· Conduct administrative, state, and “mistake of fact” hearings and establish child support orders as an Administrative Hearing Officer.
Investigations & Case Management
· Conduct investigations and interviews to locate absent parents for child support enforcement.
· Maintain communication with locator services, employers, and government agencies.
· Update and monitor case files and process documents using agency computer systems.
Agency Liaison & Reporting
· Serve as liaison between the agency and courts on child support matters.
· Attend meetings, conferences, and training as assigned.
· Coordinate with the finance supervisor on fiscal matters and report program activities to the Director.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Completion of secondary education (high school diploma or GED) required.
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of related work experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required
- Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the County’s vehicle insurance policy.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in computer systems and data entry.
