Job Summary:
The Sound Production Engineer Instructor will be responsible for teaching students in grades 6-12 about music literacy, recording studio basics, technical concepts, and music business principles. The instructor will guide students through various stages of skill development, from introductory concepts to advanced recording and production techniques, fostering a collaborative and creative learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate curriculum based on the provided course overviews for grades 6-12.
- Instruct students on music literacy, studio equipment, recording techniques, mixing, and mastering.
- Facilitate hands-on activities such as studio exploration, sound experiments, recording projects, and live performances.
- Teach music business concepts, including publishing and copyright.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students specializing in specific disciplines (producer, engineer, musician).
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage and maintain studio equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff.
