DESCRIPTION:


A premium workplace community is seeking a highly skilled, guest-facing Barista to deliver an elevated beverage and hospitality experience in San Francisco. This role goes beyond standard drink preparation, requiring a passionate craft coffee professional who thrives in a sophisticated corporate environment. Operating within an upscale co-working setting, the Barista serves as a key ambassador, crafting exceptional coffee and espresso beverages while maintaining a warm, polished presence. This is an ideal position for a dedicated professional looking for a desirable Monday through Friday daytime role with plenty of room for career growth.


Core Responsibilities —

  • Crafts and serves specialty espresso drinks, pour-overs, and artisan teas using high-end, commercial coffee equipment.
  • Delivers a warm, professional, and personalized hospitality experience to members, executive guests, and visitors.
  • Maintains immaculate cleanliness, organization, and presentation across the coffee bar, espresso station, and guest lounge areas.
  • Proactively manages and refreshes communal amenities throughout the space, including water pitchers, infusers, fruit bowls, and snack displays.
  • Monitors inventory of coffee beans, milks, syrups, teas, and paper goods, assisting with reordering and vendor deliveries.
  • Maintains strict food safety and health department standards, performing daily calibration and maintenance of coffee equipment.


Operational Involvement —

The Barista elevates the daily member experience and maintains lounge presentation by:

  • Performing daily opening and closing duties for the coffee bar and refreshment stations.
  • Continuously checking common area hospitality hubs to replenish water stations, fruit, and snacks throughout the day.
  • Interacting daily with members, learning individual preferences to build community and connection.
  • Assisting the Community and Events teams with beverage setup for internal member events, morning panels, and executive meetings.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve beverage offerings and workflow efficiency within the space.



REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have prior barista experience originating from a recognized high-end, specialty coffee purveyor or boutique artisan roaster.
  • Advanced knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso extraction, milk texturing, dial-in processes, and latte art.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a polished, approachable demeanor suitable for a luxury corporate community.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive mindset, eager to assist with broader hospitality duties like refreshing water stations and fruit displays.
  • Dependable, punctual, and highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday during daytime hours.



BENEFITS:


  • Hourly pay rate of $28.00 – $32.00/hr, depending on experience.
