Position Summary
Provide expedient and safe delivery of products from Company to customers and/or suppliers to Company. Tractor/Truck Drivers will occasionally be required to perform overnight pickups/deliveries. Tractor/Truck Drivers report directly to Senior Vice President of Operations.
Essential Responsibilities
Each employee has the organizational freedom and authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and quality or environmental system; identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality or environmental system; initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels; verify the implementation of solutions; control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Education And Training Required
Each Truck Driver will have at least a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and relevant job specific training, determined by the Company. Hold and maintain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement. Be able to pass a random drug screen and background check. Capable of driving a tractor with a manual transmission.

Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities
- Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation. Practice good driving and safe operation habits, complying with current hazardous material regulations as well as other vehicle regulations. Take required DOT breaks and follow hour of service rules. Maintain driver logs and driving credentials.
- Load and unload trailers. (Familiarity with Forklift operation preferred but not required)
- Check load list and bills of lading for accurate amounts, delivery date, place of delivery, and any special instructions. Ensure proper placards on trailers.
- Inspect tractor/trailer before leaving plant and after each delivery or pickup.
- Perform customer deliveries including LTL and truckload deliveries. Perform delivery and transfer of bulk material to customers’ bulk tanks.
- Maintain condition of load, making sure it is secure and there is no leakage.
- Decline products and goods not approved for pickup.
- Pick up empty containers for return to Madison Chemical when possible.
- Complete all documentation as instructed including expense reports and electronic logs.
- Keep the inside of assigned tractors and trailers in clean and uncluttered condition.
- Provide or help arrange service/maintenance on assigned equipment such as annual inspections, DEF system, lube, oil changes, replace windshield wipers, etc.
- Work with shipping team to arrange and organize delivery routes.
- Provide specifications for new purchases of tractors, trailers, tires, parts, and lubricants.
- Deliver and transfer Jet fuel to airport bulk tanks.
