Are you a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who dreams of making a real difference in the lives of cats and their human companions? If so, we have a perfect opportunity for you!

About Us:

Madison Cat Project is a non-profit shelter located in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. We believe in creating a brighter future for cats and the people who love them. We want to provide quality care, love, and shelter for our feline friends, while making veterinary care accessible to all.

From MCP’s inception, run by volunteers since 2001, the organization has grown into a new, light-filled facility, offering a nonprofit animal shelter, surgical center and adoption facility. MCP is now able to help thousands of cats annually, providing safe, comforting shelter and care, low-cost surgical procedures, and expanded community leadership and education around best care for feral and domestic cats, serving as an advocate for animal welfare in Dane County and working with transfer partners across the United States.

We are currently seeking a full-time veterinarian to perform surgical as well as medical duties. This is a unique opportunity in that our medical and surgical needs are growing exponentially and we are looking to expand on the services that we currently offer. We are seeking a compassionate, patient, caring individual who has a creative vision to help us take our clinic to the next level.

We currently offer spay, neuter, dental and routine medical services for our shelter cat population as well as spay/ neuter services to the public. We are seeking to expand our services to the general public as the need for affordable quality veterinary care has also grown within the community. We have a wonderful and dedicated staff compassionate about the work they do and a very supportive board of directors. Our organization boasts 200 volunteers to help with fundraising, foster care, and adoption services. We are an Adoption Guarantee organization (with a Live Release Rate of 99.7%) driven by our mission of “Saving Cats Lives Through Community Solutions.”
