Duties

• Rig and assemble boat components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure precise fit and finish
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to guide assembly and laminating processes
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and finished products within the facility
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the production line, ensuring adherence to safety standards and manufacturing specifications
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and ensure proper use of safety protocols during all operations
• Supervise or assist production teams in laminating, rigging, or assembly tasks to optimize workflow and productivity
• Implement process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions aligned with lean manufacturing principles

Requirements

• Proven factory experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments and safety standards in production
• Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents accurately
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and assembly line equipment
• Experience operating forklifts and familiarity with warehouse procedures is highly desirable
• Strong leadership skills for managing or supervising production or assembly teams effectively
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety protocol adherence
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving
• Prior experience in boat building or marine manufacturing is a plus but not required

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
