Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering cosmetology topics such as hair styling, coloring, nail care, esthetic laser treatments, facial techniques, makeup application, and body waxing.
- Instruct students on advanced techniques including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading, dermabrasion, and aesthetic treatments.
- Demonstrate practical skills in trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and other body therapies to enhance student proficiency.
- Assess student performance through evaluations, practical demonstrations, and written assessments to ensure mastery of skills.
- Maintain a safe and professional classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques such as hair coloring innovations and laser treatments into curriculum.
- Support students’ individual learning needs through personalized coaching and constructive feedback.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, coloring, nail care, facials, makeup application, barbering, and aesthetic treatments.
- Proven classroom experience with adult education or technical training settings.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to plan lessons that are clear, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.
- Expertise in specialized areas such as trigger point therapy, anatomy knowledge related to cosmetology practices, and esthetic laser treatments.
- Ability to demonstrate technical procedures accurately while fostering a positive learning environment.
