Madison Avenue Couture is one of the world's leading luxury resale destinations, specializing in Hermès, Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels and other highly sought-after luxury collectibles. We are seeking a talented Product Photographer & Retoucher to join our growing creative team in our Midtown Manhattan showroom and studio.


This is a hands-on role responsible for producing beautiful, accurate, and consistent imagery of luxury handbags, jewelry, and accessories for our website, marketing campaigns, social media, and client communications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical photography skills with meticulous retouching abilities and an appreciation for luxury products and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities


Photography

  • Photograph luxury handbags, jewelry, watches, and accessories for e-commerce and marketing use.
  • Maintain consistent lighting, color accuracy, composition, and styling across all product categories.
  • Prepare products for photography, including steaming, stuffing, styling, and quality presentation.
  • Execute detail shots that accurately capture materials, hardware, craftsmanship, and condition.
  • Manage daily photo shoots to support inventory onboarding and product launches.


Retouching & Post-Production

  • Perform daily image retouching and color correction.
  • Remove dust, fingerprints, reflections, and minor imperfections while maintaining product authenticity.
  • Ensure color accuracy, especially for luxury leathers, exotic skins, precious metals, and gemstones.
  • Prepare images for website, email, social media, paid advertising, and print collateral.
  • Maintain efficient workflows and file organization standards.


Studio Operations

  • Organize and maintain photography equipment, lighting, backgrounds, and studio space.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, inventory, marketing, and sales teams to prioritize product shoots.
  • Help develop and maintain photography standards and visual guidelines.
  • Assist with occasional lifestyle, showroom, and event photography.


Qualifications
  • 2 years of product photography experience, preferably in luxury goods, fashion, jewelry, watches, accessories, or e-commerce.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product photography and retouching expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Strong understanding of studio lighting, color management, and image optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience photographing luxury handbags, jewelry, or high-value products is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with luxury brands or luxury resale businesses.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One.
  • Basic video shooting and editing capabilities are a plus.

Employment Type

Part-Time (20–30 hours per week initially) with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and portfolio.
