What are the responsibilities and job description for the SWIM INSTRUCTOR position at Madison Area YMCA?
We are looking for SWIM INSTRUCTORS to join us in our state-of-the-art aquatic's facility. Be a hero and save a life by teaching the valuable life skill of swimming.
Competitive pay, up to $20/hour, based on experience. Private lesson instruction at a premium rate!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Must be a strong, competent swimmer, and be able to demonstrate free style and backstroke.
- Must be able to maintain a positive demeanor and attitude towards students and staff.
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
Abuse Prevention Responsibilities
All employees are expected to maintain boundaries, follow mandated reporting requirements, and uphold our policies and procedures to protect youth and participants. This includes attending required training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors, and adhering to procedures that minimize risk. Supervisors are also responsible for providing oversight, feedback, and accountability to ensure staff and volunteers follow these standards.
