Duties
- Assist lead teachers by implementing curriculum development strategies tailored to diverse age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
- Engage children in literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other age-appropriate lessons to promote holistic development.
- Help with classroom setup, lesson planning, and instructional activities aligned with early intervention and childhood development best practices.
- Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods while ensuring their safety and welfare.
- Collaborate with team members on individualized education plans (IEPs) for children requiring special education or additional support.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and staff regarding children's progress, behaviors, and classroom events.
Skills
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to early childhood education standards.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool settings, or private schools with toddlers or preschoolers.
- Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Proficiency in classroom management and creating engaging learning environments that foster literacy, math skills, and physical activity.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for young learners.
- Ability to adapt quickly across different classrooms while maintaining consistency in teaching quality.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and connect positively with children and families.
