Madison Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will have strong content knowledge and a commitment to helping students succeed in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. This educator will foster a positive, engaging, and rigorous learning environment that supports students’ academic growth and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality instruction in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry aligned with Michigan state standards.
- Use data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and inform teaching practices.
- Create a classroom culture that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and respect.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with an endorsement in Mathematics (EX or similar).
- Proven experience teaching high school-level math preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching practices.
