Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with national, state, and school science standards, informed by best practices and student developmental needs.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction through discussions, direct teaching, demonstrations, and independent practice.
- Differentiate instruction to ensure access to the curriculum for all students, including those with varying abilities, learning levels, and English proficiency.
- Assess and document student progress using multiple evaluation methods such as observation, performance-based tasks, and assessments aligned with standards.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment by modeling positive behavior and addressing concerns in alignment with school discipline policies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and growth through conferences and electronic or phone communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and continuous instructional improvement.
Position Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field
- Completion of an internship or field experience in secondary education
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Valid teaching certification
