Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures consistently and actively participate in company safety initiatives.
- Monitor, operate, maintain, adjust, and perform changeovers on a variety of production equipment and packaging metrics, including line-flow rates, paper, poly, and carton materials, scales, baggers, case-packers, case erectors, case sealers, glue machines, case coders, and grader rooms.
- Verify correct container sizes and ensure proper handling of packaging materials.
- Track equipment performance, record downtime, and complete production reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Conduct regular quality checks on packaged products, including weights, seals, codes, and glue patterns, to maintain product standards.
- Follow Standard Work procedures for CILs, Centerlines, and Defect Handling.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues, identify mechanical or electrical problems, and notify appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Operate equipment efficiently while minimizing waste.
- Perform bulk handling tasks, hand stacking, and rework of product, reusing materials as appropriate.
- Provide break coverage for other team members as needed.
Required Skills:
- MUST be able to work away from home, travel to the job site, and be able to stay there for a minimum of 90 days
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to repeatedly push, pull, and pick up 50lbs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders.
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and ability to safely handle cleaning tools and equipment.
- Willingness to work in challenging conditions, including extreme temperatures, wet areas, and confined spaces.
